“Find your voice”
Yvanna Pogue (she/her/hers) is a licensed professional counselor and a nationally certified counselor who has experience in providing services with home-based mental health agencies, domestic violence agencies, and a college university setting. She is also trained in functional family therapy. As a PhD student at the University of New Orleans, Yvanna has published and presented research on barriers to treatment in community mental health and the theory-application gap in non clinical settings. Her current research focus is family systems as it relates to the experiences of only and first born children. Yvanna utilizes narrative therapy and a non-biased approach to counseling. She recognizes the importance of clients finding and using their voice!
